Orana Wildlife Park brings wildlife from around the world to Christchurch. Animals from Africa, South America, Australia, and New Zealand , including the native Kiwi, are housed at the park.

Long ago known as Market Square, this attractive plaza was once the city's bustling commercial heart. Today, it is an attractive park with fountains, well-manicured lawns, leafy shade trees and statues of Queen Victoria and Captain Cook. The square is a popular venue for outdoor events.
